Right now I'm working on two projects with ideas and plans for many more.
The first one I'm working on is a baby gift for a pregnant friend. What exactly it'll be is still to be seen. Definitely a crocheted blanket because I'm working on that now, and I'm planning a hat and booties to match, but whether there will be more to go with that depends on the speed with which I crochet. It's the blanket that will be the possible problem. I'm awesome with small, quickly finished projects like hats and booties. It's the big things like blankets that I tend to have trouble with. I do have a few months though so I should be good. For those interested, the color is primarily a soft gray and will be accented with pink or purple (haven't decided that part yet). I prefer the gray to the traditional baby colors.
My other project is a sewing one. A very small one and should be finished quickly. I'm making several very small muslin bags for use with my newly purchased Soap Nuts. The nuts came with two muslin bags to use and somehow they have disappeared from my laundry table so I'm making several new ones that will hopefully last longer than the first two. I'll have to find something to keep them in, because my best guess is that they're blowing off the table when we open the door to let the dog in and out at night.
As for upcoming ideas...I want to make a summer wreath. I'm torn between a yarn, Red, White, and Blue one and a Flip Flop one. Either would be fairly easy and quick to do...
For crochet plans...I have a request for a Boots (from Dora) hat. It's a new character for me to make but I'm open to trying anything once so I'll give it a shot. What's the worse that can happen?
And for sewing...My definite upcoming project plans include a possible skirt for a little girl with the left over fabric from a skirt I recently made for myself and some upcycling with a couple pairs of old jeans that my recent weight loss has made unwearable. I have some instructions for tote bags and in this house I find we can never have too many totes.
